Comparison

Plensity versus Excel and Word

Almost every company starts out quoting with a spreadsheet and a text document. It works, until there are several of you, discounts get tight and nobody knows which version the client received.

The same quote, two ways

Excel and Word
  1. 1You read the client's email and note down the quantities.
  2. 2You look up prices in last time’s spreadsheet.
  3. 3You copy the lines into Word and make the total add up by hand.
  4. 4You export the PDF and attach it to an email.
  5. 5You wait. If they accept, they print, sign and scan it.
Plensity
  1. 1You paste the email and Plensity picks out the quantities.
  2. 2Your prices come from the catalogue, with the margin on each line.
  3. 3The document is built from that same data, with your brand.
  4. 4You send it from your own email and you're notified when they open it.
  5. 5The client signs on their phone.

When Excel and Word are enough

If you send few quotes a month, one person prepares them and you don't need to know the margin on each line before sending, Excel and Word will do. We won't tell you otherwise.

Plensity pays off when several of you prepare offers, when a discount can wipe out your margin or when you need to know what happens to the offer after you send it.

You start with what you already have

  • Paste your price list from the spreadsheet and Plensity builds your catalogue; you choose what goes in.
  • Upload one of your offers in Word or PDF and, with your AI connected, Plensity suggests the sections of your template.
  • And whenever you need to, download the offer in Word to touch it up elsewhere.

Frequently asked questions

Can I still send the PDF?+

Yes. Every offer downloads as PDF and Word, as well as the link for the client to sign.

How long does it take to get started?+

In our tests, from signing up a company to having its first quote as a PDF: under three minutes.

Do I need to know about artificial intelligence?+

No. Paste the email as you receive it and review the result. If you'd rather not use it, the offer comes out just the same from your catalogue.
